I RESIGNED MY JOB BECAUSE OF MY LOVE FOR MODELING ‘VICTORIA MICHAELS’:::

I RESIGNED MY JOB BECAUSE OF MY LOVE FOR MODELING ‘VICTORIA MICHAELS’:::

That people quit their corporate jobs to enable them fully concentrate on an entrepreneur journey isn’t new but to quit a job to pursue one’s passion which is modeling, now that’s unheard of.

Three years ago, Victoria quit her job with a high flying bank after five years of working with them (bank) to be a full time model and an entrepreneur.

“I have always known that modeling is what I am called to do, I have a strong sense of purpose in this regard. My time in the bank was just a process that helped sharpen the business side of things for me, although I was also modeling alongside”

After my university education, I had offers from different organizations and decided to develop myself in a corporate environment as a prelude to my core vision. After some years in the bank, I decided I have had enough and that the time has come for me for me to pursue my modeling career and as well set up a marketing consultancy (VM Consult Ltd) as marketing was my background.

The risk has certainly paid off, Victoria has quite an impressive portfolio, having worked or involved in media campaigns of brands including Woodin, Da-Viva, MTN, Vodafone, ADB, Dark and Lovely, BEL-AQUA and also as a brand ambassador of Ariels Haven Spa.

She’s made her mark on the runway, strutting her stuff during Ghana@50 Gold Show, premier fashion show used to celebrate Ghana’s Golden Jubilee anniversary, FIMA Events one of the major fashion events on the continent, BBC Fashion Show, Dubai fashion Week ,Glitz Fashion Show , Dark and Lovely Hair fashion Show amongst others.

Her versatility makes it easy for her to excel in any field of modeling be it Editorial Fashion, Runway, commercial, print, fashion catalogue, promo, fitness or glamour.

Victoria’s talent, versatility and hard work have been noticed having been prolife by Canoe Magazine, Vogue Italia online, FIMA Magazine and a special feature in Oh! Yes Magazine.

For someone who aspires to reach the height of success of Naomi Campbell, Oluchi Orlandi and Tyra Banks, its little surprise that she’s achieved quite a lot and not resting on her laurels.

She was recently honored at the All Africa Media Networks with a ‘Potential Super Model’ Award on an evening that had the likes of Joselyn Dumas, Kafui Danku and Juliet Ibrahim been honored also.

On Saturday, 6th of September, 2014, she was awarded with the ‘Outstanding Achievement Award’ at the plush La Palm Beach Hotel, Accra at the maiden edition of the Fashion Icon Awards.

“There is this awesome feeling that comes with been appreciated, I believe that reward for good work is more work and that’s exactly what I intend to focus on. The award indicates to me that there is the potential to be at the zenith of what I do and it has fueled the passion to work harder.”

She holds a degree in Business Administration from Central University, a Diploma in Journalism and Communication Studies from the Ghana Institute of Journalism and a diploma in Basic French from the Alliance Francaise with the intention of pursuing an MBA in the coming years.
