What is your vision for the people of Delta State? Especially the youth?
As
the saying goes, dire situations call for dire measures. Nigeria is in a
dire situation. Our state and country need radical actions and
transformation, a total departure from the norm of impunity,
unaccountability, nepotism, abuse of power, and insecurity.
It is the
duty of the legislative arm of government at all levels to come up with
drastic bills and laws to salvage this situation.
It is for this
reason that when I am elected as a member of the Delta State House of
Assembly come 2023, we shall pursue laws, bills, and policies that are
pro-people. We will push for laws to solve the problems the people face
daily in the state. The laws shall ensure we bring back accountability,
prudence, security, and service back to the people.
I would also
present a bill to exclusively reserve 30% of political appointments for
women and another 20% for youth below 35 years of age. Women are the
most potent tool in human disposal to build any society while youths all
over the world are seen to have energy, vision, and drive to make
incredible things happen, they constitute 70% of our population and need
to be explored now more than ever before.
What seat are you going for in Delta State and how do you intend to make impact?
Delta state House of Assembly seat, representing Ughelli North Constituncy 2
My
major drive for going into politics is to show that good governance is
not rocket science. I will dedicate my time in government to delivering
quality representation, be a voice of the electorates and pursue
pro-people agendas. Aside the official legistive agenda, we would also
carry out non-legislative programs and projects including Rewards for
educational excellence programs, setting up of ICT Hub and Training
Centre in collaboration with Telecoms giants to train our youths to have
modern relevant ICT skills, yearly Oke Umurhohwo Football Competition
to encourage the youths to showcase their talents, Free Fuel Initiative
as well as justice League Team initiative which would be in partnership
with a team of lawyers, to help bring justice and free legal services to
the poor and oppressed people in the constituency.
