NEEDLEKRAFT SET TO REDEFINE FASHION AT THE 2014 NEEDLEKRAFT FASHION SHOW & AWARDS:::
Come SUNDAY 15th JUNE 2014, at the CIVIC CENTER, VICTORIA ISLAND, LAGOS, the world will stand still as it witnesses the biggest and loudest Fashion Show in Nigeria. It is the 2014 Needlekraft Fashion Show & Awards.
Fashion and Entertainment lovers will not forget in a hurry how the previous edition of the Fashion Show revolutionised the fashion industry and brought another dimension to event hosting and management.
The past event which took place at the prestigious Balmoral Hall Ikeja had the crème de la crème of the society in attendance with the duo compere of Uti Nwachukwu of the Big Brother fame and Ashionye of Tinsel bringing their prolific emcee experience to bear.
Some of the notable faces in attendance were Hajia Abba Folawiyo, Chief Mrs Opral Benson MON, Dr Ausbeth Ajagu MFR, Dr Austin Izagbo, Capt Chris Najomo, Emeka Ossai, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Patrick Doyle, Zaky Aze, Oge Okoye, Benita Nzeribe, Benjamin Joseph and others.
Comedy was provided by Okey Bakassi and Mandy.
First Lady of Mavin Records Tiwa Savage and Late Goldie Harvey set the roof on fire with their hit tracks and off course Jhybo, KSB and other musicians did their thing.
But the highpoint of the event was the Celebrity Runway segment where some Nollywood and Entertainment stars showed the other side of their skills when they hit the runway for the most audacious catwalks ever witnessed in the history of fashion shows. The stars that featured on the runway were Monalisa Chinda, Tiwa Savage, Late Goldie Harvey, Yinka Davies, Yvonne, Susan Peters, Ashionye, Lilian Amah and others.
Also not left out on the runway beat were the Local & International models that were cynosure of all eyes as they strutted the runway in an unbelievably breath-taking gait and poise to the utter admiration of all present.
The coming edition, according to the organiser Tese Onokala CEO Needlekraft Group, is designed to surpass the feat of previous editions. This informed the choice of a more spacious venue-the Civic Center to accommodate the legion of Fashion, Nollywood and Entertainment stars that will be in attendance.
The event, which will have the First Lady of Lagos State, Dame Abimbola Fashola, as the Special Guest of honor will also seek to honor some notable Fashion Industry players with ‘Fashion Icon Awards’ as well as empower some less-privileged women graduates of Needlekraft Fashion School with FREE Sewing Machines.
The event will still feature Musical performances from top Nigerian artists, Comedy and Celebrity catwalks where notable stars like Monalisa Chinda, Ini Edo, Kate Henshaw, Omotola Jolade, Clarion Chukwura, Uti Nwachukwu,Chidi Mokeme, Fredrick Leonard, Alex Ekubo, Zack Orji and a host of others will perform on the runway.
